Welcome back to Blogmas! For today’s post, I’m bringing us back to 2013 YouTube and creating a holiday tag. At the end of the post, find out who I’ve tagged to do their version of the tag! If you haven’t read yesterday’s post, you can read Blogmas Day 1 here.

1. What is your favorite Christmas or holiday movie?
My favorite animated Christmas movie is “The Year Without A Santa Claus.” The Snow Miser and Heat Miser are the real stars of that movie. If you know, you know. I do also love “The Holiday.” I saw that movie in theaters with my Mom when it came out years ago, and I’ve loved it ever since. It’s such a good movie!
2. What is the best way to spend a Saturday in December?
A Saturday in December is the perfect opportunity for cozy day on the couch, with a Christmas movie marathon. But, December is usually a hectic month. I love spending the day baking Christmas cookies (and eating lots of cookie dough!).
3. What’s your favorite Christmas song?
My favorite Christmas songs are “A Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Let it Snow!” “Christmas Wrapping,” “Dominick the Donkey,” and “O Holy Night.” I actually wrote a post about my favorite songs last December which you can read here. I talk more about why I love each of those songs in that post. And there’s some honorable mentions and songs I can’t stand.
4. What do you typically eat for dinner on Christmas Day?
It depends on who it’s with. When we spend it with my Dad’s side of the family, like we will be doing this year, it’s always lasagna. Christmas Eve is the seven fishes, which is a huge production, so it’s nice for the host to have an easy meal that can be pre-made and popped into the oven on Christmas Day. Plus, it means you can actually relax and enjoy the time with family instead of stuck doing dishes.
5. What is your favorite Christmas cookie or holiday treat?
I love the classics- gingerbread and sugar cookies. I also love the Italian Spice Cookies that we make. Honestly, I could eat my weight in those. Actually, forget lasagna for dinner on Christmas Day- I’d be happy just eating cookies. Do I put on a few pounds from my Christmas cookie addiction? Absolutely. But, it’s totally worth it!
And get excited- I have a cookie recipe coming on Saturday!

6. What fictional character would you want to spend Christmas with?
There’s only 1 right answer to this question. Christmas at Hogwarts! I mean, how could I not want that? I especially would love it if I could go back in time to 1977 and be friends with the Marauders and celebrate with them. And yes, I picked their 7th year because that’s when James and Lily would be finally together. (sorry… did I share too much with that answer? ? )
7. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vizen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph.
This was a question I saw on a lot of other tags, and it was kind of surprising to me that not one of the posts I saw got all of them. Am I just weird, or something else? Actually, don’t answer that!
8. Where would you like to visit during the holiday season?
I would love to spend some time in London during the holidays. I love London in general, so combining that with the holidays can only be good!

I’d also enjoy going to Disney World during the holiday season, and Universal Studios. Everything I’ve ever seen and read makes it sounds like so much fun. Plus, I’d miss the extreme heat of the summer!
9. Do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better? (be honest!)
I do like getting gifts. I mean, who doesn’t? Except for that awkward moment of intense focus that everyone has on you as you rip open the wrapping paper. That’s an anxious person’s nightmare.
But, I do like giving gifts more. I never understood this when I was younger. It’s definitely something that you only understand with age. I love the entire process- the moment I find something, wrapping it, and watching them open it. (Yes, I can watch others but get anxious when they watch me. I’m a hypocrite, what can I say?)

Because I like giving gifts so much, I love sharing gift guides and shopping tips on my blog to help you. Gift-giving and the holiday season can be costly, but there are ways to make it less stressful and more enjoyable. Even when I was at my poorest, I never had to skip giving gifts or get someone something that I didn’t genuinely think they’d like.
10. What is the best gift you’ve ever received?
My dog Charlie. Charlie was the first pet I’d ever had, which made it a big deal in itself. But, I had also been having a lot of anxiety attacks and getting Charlie was so helpful with them. He was the sweetest dog ever. Read more about Charlie and my thoughts on getting pets as gifts here.

If you’d like to do this tag on your own blog, Instagram stories, or other social media, be sure to tag me in it so I can read it!
Here are the people that I tag:
I really enjoyed reading more about you with these fun questions. I just really started paying attention to the sone Christmas Wrapping and enjoy it. It is catchy and I really like its tempo.
Thanks for reading! Christmas Wrapping is a super catchy song, and definitely relatable!
Such a beautiful and fun post! I love the pictures and thank you so much for the tag. I love everything about Christmas!!!!
Thanks so much for your continued support!!! Can’t wait to read your answers!
Love this. Thanks for the tag, lovely! Christmas at marauders-era Hogwarts IS the only acceptable answer. If you overshared, I’m fine with it, because my answer would be the exact same! Maybe we’re both weird, hahaha. Also… There are people who DON’T know the names of all the reindeer!? What!?
You’re welcome! I’m excited to see your answers! I’m so glad that someone else agrees with me about marauders-era Hogwarts! I mean… I can’t think of a better group. And I’m relieved that you find it odd that people don’t know all the reindeer names. Not that it’s an important thing to remember, but like… you hear it nonstop for a month every year. Also, I love that not one of the posts or videos I watched mentioned Rudolph. haha he counts too! Thanks again for reading! xx
