Welcome to Blogmas Day 3! For today’s post, I’m sharing some information on organizations that could all use your support this Christmas.
Have you read the first 2 Blogmas post yet? Read Day 1 here and Day 2 here!

GlamourGals
GlamourGals is an organization that brings beauty lovers from different generations together. Girls in high school and college volunteer to provide companionship to local elderly people. During their visits, they provide GlamourGals’ complimentary beauty makeovers to their new friends.
According to their website, 100% of senior living employees said the program positively impacts their residents. And, 97% of volunteers say they became more compassionate and aware of isolation due to age.
You can make a donation to GlamourGals online, or support them when you shop on Amazon by using Amazon Smile.
Pets for the Elderly
Pets for the Elderly is exactly what it sounds like. They provide companionship to seniors through the adoption of shelter pets. This organization helps save shelter pets who are at risk of being put down. Then, those pets provide unconditional love and affection to their new elderly owners. Currently, there are 54 shelters in 34 of the 50 states that participate in the program.
To help this organization, you can donate to Pets for the Elderly on their website.

Child’s Play
Child’s Play began in 2003 and works to improve the lives of children and teens in children’s hospitals worldwide. The organization began in response to how video games were portrayed negatively by the media. After initially challenging fans to support Seattle Children’s Hospital, Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins set up an Amazon wishlist. In less than 1 month, the total raised for the hospital reached over $250,000 in cash and toys.
You can support Child’s Play by making a donation on their website, purchasing items in their online store, or by purchasing items from Amazon Wishlists. Head here to see which hospitals are a part of the Amazon Wishlist program.
Fallen Patriots
Fallen Patriots is on a mission to provide scholarships to Gold Star families (immediate family members of a fallen service member). In 1989, 5 days before Christmas, Sergeant William Delaney Gibbs was killed in action. He left behind a young wife and unborn daughter. Fallen Patriots’ Founder and CEO, David Kim, served with Gibbs in the military and was inspired by his sacrifice and founded the organization in 2002.
Fallen Patriots accepts donations on their website. They also have a shop with a variety of merchandise and information for those wanting to organize fundraisers. On top of that, the organization also works with a significant amount of ‘big name’ corporate partners, including iHop, Lululemon, Fossil, and more.

Folds of Honor
Folds of Honor is similar to Fallen Patriots. But, I just had to include it in this post. This organization provides scholarships to spouses and children of fallen and disabled service members. Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney began the organization after watching the remains of a service member being escorted off of his plane. He watched as Corporal Brock Bucklin’s twin brother walked next to his flag-covered casket and towards the deceased’s young son. Later, Jacob Bucklin became the first recipient of a Folds of Honor scholarship in 2007.
Folds of Honor receives support through donations online, merchandise sales on their website, and by participants in golf marathons. You can also purchase their merchandise at select retail partners. Plus, Lt. Col Rooney’s book is available on Amazon (not an affiliate link) or the Folds of Honor website.
