Hi! Welcome to Allison Bree! Yes, my first name is Allison. No, my middle name is not Bree. I just don’t want to use my real name. Or at least all of it.
Allison Bree is coming 2 years after my blog, The Nutmeg Diaries, launched. Over the past 2-ish years so much has happened. I’ve started my own business, moved cross-country, gotten an amazing new job (on top of my business!), published almost 200 blog posts, and so much more. So now, it’s time for a refresh.
My business, Nutmeg Marketing, is easily accessible from my blog, and everything has had a facelift. The rebrand hasn’t gone as smoothly as I hoped, but there are always new things to learn in the blogging world. And, over the next few months you may see things continuing to change as my perfectionist tendencies get the better of me.
Not everything is changing- I’ll still be posting about a wide variety of things, and am so excited to see what the next 2 years will bring.

Ice cream! My all time favorites are Mint Chocolate Chip and Pistachio. Other favorites are ravioli, spaghetti with garlic, french toast, waffles, and bread.

Pets…
I currently have 2 dogs, Rosie, a Beagle, and Oliver, a Maltese. My first pet was a Maltese named Charlie. He and Rosie were named after my great-grandparents, and Oliver is named after Oliver Queen from Arrow.
I didn’t have a pet until college, and now I can’t imagine living without any. Being in Seattle without my dogs is one of the hardest parts of living on the other side of the country. In the future, I’d like to get a black dog and name him Sirius (yes, after Sirius Black in Harry Potter).

My ideal vacation is…
London! I studied abroad in London during college, and I fell in love, and would do just about anything to go back. I don’t even need to be doing anything fancy. Some of my favorite moments were when I was just walking around. I could stand on Westminster Bridge just taking in the sights for hours.
I’d love to do a solo trip to Iceland, and am currently beginning to plan one for next summer!
My favorite season…
Winter. I hate the summer. The heat makes me absolutely miserable and triggers my migraines, so it’s never enjoyable. Winter is perfect for me. It’s not just chilly, it’s cold, and then I can bury myself in blankets and wear cozy sweatshirts and drink tea all day. Snow brings out the little kid in me. I find it very refreshing, and it’s so peaceful. It’s also pretty funny when my dogs dive head first into it and then proceed to get grumpy because they’re now wet. I haven’t gone skiing in years, but when I was younger, I loved skiing, and would love to do it again.
