Last night’s episode of Only Murders in the Building brought a new character into the picture – Lucy, who you may remember hearing about in season 1. This entire episode was so good!
*There will be spoilers for spoilers for season 2, episode 4, “Here’s Looking at You,” in this review*
Thoughts
I wanted to try something a little different for this post, so I wrote my random comments as I watched the episode. Here are the big ones…
Nathan Lane is going to fuck Martin Short. Hard. Um…. Can we please get clarification on which definition we’re going with here. Because that could easily have gone either way. And the later comment about needing to know what to wear, did not help.

Oliver should not feel bad for Teddy! Even if he’s all sad now, who cares? He still covered up Zoe’s murder for how many years, and then there’s the whole grave robbing thing. And who knows what else?
The secret tunnel- how did Lucy find it? I need more information! The one in the closet was easy to get, but this one is hidden in the bathroom wall! And assuming Bunny used these passages, I can’t imagine Bunny using this one covered in cobwebs and who knows what else.
Oliver‘s reasons for why he doesn’t exercise is me. Like exactly me.
Lucy tells Charlies she was in the city the night of the murder. Then he goes and says that he wouldn’t have wanted her anywhere near the building that night. But she just told him she was….?

Clearly I’m Old Now
I absolutely love Lucy. I can’t wait to see more of her. But man I’ve never related to a character more than I related to Mabel during their ‘young folk’ talk. And… I’m sorry, but what is this outfit Lucy is wearing??? I’m sure I’m aging myself with that one. But… wow.
Combine that with the fact that I have a thermometer in my apartment so I can always know the exact temperature and humidity levels… and I’m on my way to becoming my grandfather.
She used the word “Manhatty” and you just used “hot goss.” It’s like I’m watching Squid Games without subtitles.

My Theories
Last week, I talked about how I was sure Nina wasn’t the killer. This week confirmed it.
I still stand by my thoughts last week – it was most likely Bunny’s mother or Uma. However, the person Lucy saw in the passage doesn’t look too much like either of them. I did notice one angle made the person’s arm and wrist seem really skinny, which points more to Uma.
But, based on the overall flashback, I also had the thought that the killer could be a sibling or other relative of Bunny’s that hasn’t been mentioned yet. In season 1, Jan is introduced in 1 elevator scene in episode 3. I think it’s possible we may have not met the killer, but unlikely. Now, if it’s someone who is using a different identity or something, I could see that. But I’m not sure who that could be. Thoughts?
What did you think of episode 4 of Only Murders in the Building? Did you like it better than the last episode? I know I did!
