As always, Harloe Rae’s newest release got me out of the reading slump I’ve been in for a few months now. There’s just something about her characters that just pull me in immediately. Her newest release, Wrong For You, is a second-chance romance filled with tension, longing, and the cutest little girl.

Initial Thoughts
I knew this story would pull me in just after reading the beginning of the summary. I mean, how could you not already have a lot of respect for Harper?
I used to believe Jacob Evans could be mine.
Wrong For You
That was before he delivered unforgivable news rather than sweeping me off my feet.
Not that I can fault his choice.
He got the sweetest little girl out of the deal.
Before even meeting her, Harper impressed me with her maturity and strength. Not only does she figure out to fake get over Jake, she also manages to live in the same town as him without losing her mind. There’s no way I could do that!
As a former dancer, I absolutely loved that Sidney takes ballet classes and Harper owns the studio in town. Sidney is an outgoing ball of energy with a broody father who smiles only for her. The father-daughter bond they have is beautiful. (What is it about the single dad trope??? Never would have thought that’d be something I’d be into, yet here I am!)
Each of the characters dragged me into their world the instant I started reading. I half expected to lose interest, but it didn’t. I didn’t even realize I’d almost finished the book before going to bed one night. Their journey is filled with lots of ups and downs and lots of bickering, but it is so worth it in the end.
My Final Thoughts on Wrong For You
Harloe Rae has gifted us with another captivating story. As usual, the young child in the story is just the cutest thing ever, the man is swoon-worthy, and the woman is the perfect blend of independence, strength, and loving. The characters are all great on their own, but when you put the three of them together, you get a perfect little family.
Wrong For You reminds me so much of There’s Always Someday. Nolan and Jake are both possessive as hell, but in the best way. Even before giving in to their feelings they are protective If Tally and Sidney met in real life, there’s no doubt they’d be best friends. (I would love to have a BFF-centered book with the two of them meeting! It would be so cute!)
If you like a good ‘ole HEA (happily ever after), then this, like every other book Harloe Rae’s written, is for you!
