Happy Friday! Have you been reading any good books lately?
I saw that Ellie from Eleanor Sophie Writes, recently did this tag on her blog and now I’m hopping on the bandwagon. No one tagged me, but I like tag style blog posts or videos. If you like this type of post, let me know in the comments below. And, leave your answers to the tag in the comments, because I tag everyone reading this post to do this!

What do you like about buying new books?
Everything! The entire process of browsing, purchasing, putting them on my shelves, it’s all very soothing to me. I also have way too many books for the shelves that I currently have available to me. So, in a lot of ways, changing the contents on my shelves is similar to redecorating, because I want visually appealing books to be on my shelves.
How often do you buy new books?
I have been very good and haven’t bought new books in months. I think part of this is because I began using Prime Reading, with the Kindle app on my ipad and/or phone. That being said, I have continued to add to my wishlists!
Bookstore or online book shopping: which do you prefer?
Bookstore, definitely! I don’t mind shopping online, but bookstores are great. While I’ve been using my ipad for some reading, I do still overall prefer physical books. And, shopping in a bookstore allows me to feel the books in my hand. I’ve made some errors purchasing online before- those mass market paperbacks on Amazon are a great deal, but after 10 minutes of reading one, my head is pounding because the print is so small. If I’d seen that in person, I wouldn’t have made that purchase.
Do you have a favourite bookshop?
I don’t have 1 favorite bookstore. No matter what bookstore you bring me into, I can usually find a book to buy.
Do you pre-order books?
Not usually. I think the last time I pre-ordered would have been the final Harry Potter book. Right now I don’t know of another series that would have the same urgency for me. Nowadays, if there is a book I am interested in but unsure about, I’ll read a few spoiler-free reviews before purchasing.
Do you have a monthly buying limit?
For right now, I’m trying to avoid buying more books. I have so many that I have had for years but still haven’t read or I’ve only read halfway. Lockdown has helped with this, since I’ve had more time to read, and less opportunities to go into stores.
How big is your wishlist?
Probably over 200 titles. I have lists on Goodreads, Amazon, the notes in my phone, and random post-it notes all over the place. I definitely need some organization!
Which three books from your wishlist do you wish to own right now?
If I were to order some books right now, they would be…
- Leave Him Loved by Harloe Rae (comes out Feb. 25th!)
- The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (A Hunger Games Novel) by Suzanne Collins
- The Duke and I (Bridgertons Book 1) by Julia Quinn
And that’s the Anonymous Bookaholics Tag! Let me know what you think of my answers, and leave yours in the comments below!

If you missed my review of Breaker by Harloe Rae, you can read that here. Or, read about the book that changed my life.
We love the whole process of buying books too. Except, we’re not as good as you. We buy new books all the time.
I don’t know that I’d say I’m good at buying books- more like I spend too much money on books instead of getting them for free from a library. But, buying books is so much fun I can’t stop! Thanks for reading!
This is such a fun tag, and I loved reading your answers! I’ve never gotten into reading on a screen, I like to give myself a break from looking at screens all day and pick up a book. Over 200 titles?! Wow, I hope you’re able to get around to them xx

It’s a bit ambitious, I know! Thanks for reading!
